New manager for Ashley Grange

Trish Harris has been appointed manager of Ashley Grange Nursing Home in Lode Hill, Downton.

Trish brings with her a wealth of experience in mental health nursing and management, her particular interest being in dementia care.

A qualified accountant, Trish studied to be a psychiatric nurse in 2015 when she and her family lived in Buckinghamshire.  She worked as a staff nurse in a hospital’s intensive psychiatric unit. She was always keen to work in residential nursing care, becoming deputy manager of a home run by a charity organisation and then the manager of a nursing home.

After Trish, her husband and two daughters moved to Wiltshire, she was appointed Ashley Grange’s new manager by Hartford Care, the company that acquired the nursing home in November 2020.

She is passionate about promoting work and training around dementia care. “My priority at Ashley Grange is to build a dedicated team of carers and nurses who feel supported in their roles, and who are totally committed to providing the best possible care for our residents, especially in dementia. I would be really interested to hear from anyone who shares our values and would like to come and work with us.”

Ashley Grange is currently undergoing a major refurbishment to make its facilities even better and more comfortable for its residents and staff members.
