Christmas Festival raises over £1600

The Christmas Tree Festival returned to St Laurence Church this year, raising over £1600 altogether.  £800 was donated to Wiltshire Family Counselling Trust (a local charity focussed on the mental health of children, young people and their families), with the remainder going to the building repair fund at St Laurence.

There were activities for children - decorating gingerbread and writing letters to Santa, which were then posted in the special post box.  Families hunted for the many church mice which were hiding around the building. A variety of musical performances added to the festive atmosphere.  Click here for some pictures of the entertainment.

The organisers (Susan Tyler, Philippa Merrill and Wiz Gerschwiler) would like to thank all exhibitors, volunteers and visitors - and also Mark Merrill who organised the entertainment.
