Look out for pictures of Downton from the air

A new website is being developed, with the support of the Parish Council, to promote Downton as a visitor destination. It will use funds allocated to the village from the Wiltshire Council Towns Programme. The programme supports the economy of settlements and Downton is just large enough to qualify!

New drone photographs of the village have been commissioned from local drone operator, Steve Kynaston. His drone will be above the village early in September to capture images of the iconic parts of Downton from the air including The Borough, The Moot and the river.

Steve has the appropriate licence and conforms to the CAA code on the use of drones. The photographs will help to show what a great place Downton is to visit, positioned between the New Forest, Cranbourne Chase, Salisbury and the coast. Steve can be contacted by email at kynastonsteve@aol.com and will be pleased to answer any questions or concerns.
