New garden areas taking shape

The pupils that form Downton Primary School’s Eco-Council have been planning the replanting of the gardens in front of the school, and have written an open letter, hoping that some gardeners out there will be able to help them:

Dear Downton Community

At the Primary school we are replanting our front garden after necessary building work. We are very grateful to Downton Horticultural Society who are going to donate us some cherry trees to complement our existing trees.  We plan to have a rose climbing over the entrance by the blue door.  Please would you help us by donating some plants. One part of the garden will be planted to encourage birds and one part of the front garden is going to become another outdoor learning space for children.  We would appreciate any cuttings.  Please would you help us restore our front gardens with the plants below.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

From Downton Primary School Eco-Council
