The team is now supporting the Downton Food Bank

The regular monthly support to organisations in need continues and the team have now added Downton Foodbank to their list.  Please contact them if you know of any local organisation that might benefit from their help.

For most repairs, the item is first dismantled to check the cause of any particular problem.  At this stage, the Repair Team’s “Fixer” has to carry out some detective work, perhaps by checking on-line with Google to find out the best way to resolve the snag, prior to undertaking the repair.  This might include finding replacement parts, before reassembling and completing the task.

Recently, this procedure was followed when taking on the repair of an old Decca Record Player.

Currently in the donation shop (open every Wednesday and Friday), the team have the following items for sale (all items have been checked, cleaned and serviced):

Tesco Air Bed - Portable Type-writer/case - Sennheiser Wireless Headset - Radio Alarm Clock – Modern Angle Poise Lamp - Ladies Bike – Men’s Bike

The team is happy to help with repairing furniture, ceramics, electrical goods, clothing items or old treasures.  Simply drop in to see them at Redlynch Village Hall, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 10am - 12 noon.  Or contact them on 510753 / email loverrepaircafe@ gmail.com
