Archery competition at Trafalgar

Raising money for Salisbury Foodbank

Archery competition at Trafalgar

South Wilts Archery Club recently ran a charity archery competition at Trafalgar School in aid of Salisbury Foodbank.  The competition was open to all novices with under 2 years of archery experience, in return for a donation of food to the value of £15.  Competitors, helpers and club members all chipped in - and nearly 180kg of food was collected - a welcome addition to the stocks of the Foodbank.  The bank has provided over 8000 emergency food parcels in the last 12 months, as people struggle to get by on low income.  Maria Stevenson from Salisbury Foodbank/Trussell Trust awarded the medals at the end of the day and it is hoped that this will now become an annual event.

The picture of two people is Tom Godson (event organiser) and Maria Stevenson (Salisbury Foodbank).
