Bowling Season comes to an end

Although the club has had mixed results this year, players report another enjoyable season, which closes at the end of September. Notable successes have been the promotion of The Bustards team to the next section of their triples league (where they will join the other Downton team, The Dragons) and Downton’s participation in the “Ivor Fourmy” trophy where the team is through to the final. There is also a chance that the team who entered the Westbrook mixed triples league could be the top team in this league - having already played in the final of the knockout cup. A Westbrook Gala Day saw the Downton Divas team finishing 3rd out of the 19 teams that entered.
