Downton Community Choir

The choir is currently rehearsing for their midsummer concert (in conjunction with Durrington Community Choir) at Chafyn Grove School on June 21.

They recently performed at the Salisbury Festival of Choirs at St Thomas’s Church, where over £6000 was raised for the Salisbury Hospice Charity.  They were also in evidence at Cuckoo Fair, and are providing a set at the Memorial Centre’s Ukrainian event on Sunday 8 June.

The choir always welcomes new members. There is no audition and members have a wide range of musical ability.  They rehearse from 7-8.30pm every Wednesday evening during term time at the Sherwood Room at The Clubhouse, next to Downton Leisure Centre on Wick lane.
