Downton Society News

Members of the Downton Society joined Parish Council and other volunteers clearing footpaths and cleaning the Tannery and Moulds bridges in the run up to the Cuckoo Fair.  The Society has paid for plants and bulbs for summer planting in the tubs on the Borough Green - and would welcome new volunteers to help with maintenance and watering - especially during dry periods.

There are 2 social events planned over the summer - a garden party on 22 June and a tour of Downton Brewery on 17 July - which will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Society’s activities.  More information from downtonsociety.org or contact susankirsten@btinternet.com
