Recycling shed reopens
Visit planned to D-Day Normandy landing sights

Malcolm Dean is organising a 5 Night trip to Normandy D Day Beaches in July next year.
The trip is open to all and takes place from Monday 25 July 2022 to Saturday 30 July 2022. The cost will be £400 per person, which includes:
• coach travel and ferry costs
• 5 nights Ibis hotel bed and breakfast accommodation (based on two sharing – single room supplement applies)
• a guide for days 2 and 3
• entry to 4 museums
It does not include:
• travel insurance (this trip is being organised by volunteers so not ABTA covered); health insurance; lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks etc
Itinerary:
Day 1 – Monday 25th July
• Travel to France by coach and ferry from Portsmouth to Caen
• Pick up points –
Weymouth
Salisbury
Andover
Basingstoke
Fleet Services (maybe Aldershot –tbc)
• Pick up times to be confirmed. Weymouth pick up likely to be at 7am
Day 2 - Tuesday 26th July
• Memorial Pegasus Bridge Museum
• Pegasus Bridge, Bailey Bridge and the Horsa Glider
• Merville gun battery
• Ranville war cemetery
• Sword Beach
• Juno Beach and Juno Beach Centre
• Arromanches and the Mulberry harbour

• Longues sur Mer German gun battery
• Omaha Beach and the US cemetery
• La Pointe du Hoc
• St Mere Eglise and Angouville au Plain the airbourne church
• The museum at St Mere Egliose
• Utah Beach (if time allows)
• German cemetery at La Cambe
Day 4 – Thursday 28th July
• TBC
Day 5 – Friday 29th July
• Free Day
Day 6 – Saturday 30th July
• Return to England by Ferry from Caen to Portsmouth
• Drop off times to be confirmed, Fleet/Aldershot likely to be 11pm, which means Weymouth at about 3am
