Poppy Appeal 202

The organisers would like to thank everyone who contributed so generously to the Poppy Appeal. Despite the constraints this year, the total raised in Downton and Charlton All Saints was £1819.22. Thanks also to those responsible for the Poppy decoration on the fence by The Bonvalot Memorial, which lifted everyone's spirits.  Another special thank you goes to Laura Mellodey and her team of makers, who made and distributed Poppy masks in aid of the appeal.  Laura said "It's lovely to hear the total and it was our pleasure to be able to donate to the Royal British Legion. We raised £489.50 at our pop ups and had a few face coverings left over which went onto a mask tree in Salisbury and raised an additional £150 for RBL which was donated by a Community Mask Tree group in Salisbury."

(The mask makers are still busy - look at our front page to find out when and where to buy masks for Christmas)
