About the event

The Horticultural society starts the year with a visit from Mike Read, a freelance nature photographer specialising in birds, flowers, mammals and other wildlife as well as landscapes. His presentation is called ‘Wildlife of a Working Forest’. Mike will be showing some of his photographs, many of which have been published commercially.  He will also be bringing some small items to sell.  More information about Mike from his website: mikeread.co.uk.

All horticultural society events include refreshments, a raffle and a sales table. Items for the sales table are welcome.

Events are open to all, and donations are gratefully received from non-members. Annual membership of the society is £6, which enables expert speakers to be booked and contributes to venue hire and insurance.
