Move and Make Music

Liv McLennan (Music for Wellbeing) and her team of musicians are running a series of Move and Make Music sessions in Downton, which are free of charge. The sessions are for people with memory concerns/issues as well as their families and are held in the Sherwood Suite at Downton Leisure Centre. Refreshments are served from 10.30am with the music session running for 1 hour from 11am - 12noon.

There are well-known songs with words provided, and discussions about a variety of things, which are then set to music, with movement added for keeping warm and loosening up. Liv says," You won't believe how impressive this sounds!"

The sessions are primarily for people who have concerns about their memories (including Covid fog) and those who have felt isolated and lonely during the pandemic - although everyone is welcome.

if you would like to come and try it out please contact Jane Ebel on 07515822479 or musecic@gmail.com

The sessions will be taking place on 25 January, 8 & 22 February.
