Downton Band

Downton Band were recently personally invited to perform for the Queen.  The occasion was the 50th anniversary celebration of Wiltshire Community Foundation, an independent charity which exists to tackle disadvantage and strengthen local communities by inspiring philanthropy and supporting the voluntary sector.

In the past the band has received a grant from the foundation, and a small group of the band attended, along with the conductor Lloyd Barlett.  The event was also attended by the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire. The Band also played a summer concert at The Moot.
