Fridays Community Cafe

The final coffee morning of the year will take place on 28 November - but the cafe will be back in January.

September’s coffee morning raised over £478 for Macmillan Cancer Support, which the team topped up to send in a total of £500.  In October, the cafe was Halloween-themed, with small pumpkins on the tables and ghost-shaped biscuits and cakes. Dave Mace provided keyboard music.

These events are supported by a team of volunteers who help with various tasks. This includes washing tablecloths, baking cakes, washing up, and setting up and clearing away tables and chairs. During the school holidays, additional help is on hand to tidy up - perhaps encouraged by the availability of cakes!
