Trafalgar School

Celebrating GCSE results
Students at The Trafalgar School achieved many exceptional GCSE results this year. Headteacher, Jy Taylor, commented: “We are so proud of all of our Year 11 students who have experienced unprecedented challenges during their secondary school education. It is easy to forget that these young people joined our school segregated into ‘Covid bubbles’ and had their formative years of secondary education punctuated by national industrial action. Their results are a testament to their dedication and hard work. These Year 11 students really have embodied the values of our school; they are determined and aspirational but above all they are compassionate and supportive of each other and I am confident that they will be successful wherever their journey takes them next.”
Destinations for the Year 11 students are varied ranging from S6C, South Wilts, Ringwood and Bishops through to Wiltshire and Brockenhurst colleges and a number of students also moving on to apprenticeships. Mr Taylor continued: “The success of our students is shared also by their parents and our staff who should not be forgotten and have supported these children throughout their five years with us at Trafalgar. They have been enormous fun to be around as a group of students and we wish them all well as they move on to the next phase of their education proudly calling themselves ‘Trafalgar Alumni’.”
